I Created a Wiki for Cannabis and i need your help to fill it with Information!

Ive Been Working on this site for a while now, but only put it on a server a couple of days ago.

ive tried to create some sort of Skeletal of empty pages that then can be filled out later by the internets Cannabis Community.

I hope this Site becomes a place where all the ents, Growers, Stoners, medical patients and Breeders from all over the Internet can come together and unify the wast amount of Information on Cannabis that the Internet Holds.

i think that no matter where you hangout, be it rollitup, reddit, grasscity, icmag, waytoomany, yahooka, 420chan or any other of the thousands of weed related sites on the internet, we can agree that a centralized place that holds the all Information together would be awesome.

The online Cannabis community is still stuck in this old "look-guys-i-found-this thread-over-at-some-other-Forum" way of communicating and tracking information online, and i hope that this wiki will enable us to move on to a more centralized way of tracking information and advances in cannabis science.

Obviously i am not the first person to have this idea... sadly though, none of the previous projects that sought to create a cannabis wiki got very far... i found many barely started wikis that hadnt been changed in years...usualy with crappy domains since all the good ones are taken by cybersquatters... which saddend me... so i decided to create a Complete Full wiki and maintain it. it didnt take long at all til mine looked better and contained more Information then the ones i could find Online, but it is still a long way from being full and complete.

Up until now this thing has been a 1 man job, every page up until now has been created and edited by me. the Wast amounts of Information that the Internet holds would take me years to collect and add to the wiki if I have to do it alone.

and this is where you come in:

Im looking for dedicated people that want to help me unite the Cannabis Information. But also people that just want to help out quickly, so if you wanna help me you can do any of the following:


1.) You can cunduct Actual Medical, Biological or horticultural Research on Cannabis and add your findings to the Wiki.

2.) You can Help me by writing/adding an Article or by improving an already existing one.

3.) You can Help me by giving me constructive critcism so i know what i can improve. (tell me what sucks, what you dont like and what you think is awesome)

4.) You can help me by donating a couple bucks either directly (donate button in the top right corner) or over the crowdfunding page i over-optimisticly opened on Indiegogo^^ (the money will be used to pay for hosting and domains years in advance)

5.) You can help me by pressing the "Like" button, tweeting about cannapedia (or following it), blogging about cannapedia, shareing it with a friend, stumbling it, submitting it to reddit or just sharing the wiki in any shape or form... hell even talking about it.... basically just getting the word out that it exists and is ready to be filled with Information.

6.)you can help me by adding a link to a news article to the news section:

if you put you mouse on the log in button, a small window will popup (where you can enter you login) and in the bottom right corner of that theres a "register" link

right now i could really use some help with the strains page or with the seedbanks page since those really still need alot of work.

nice stuff dude, surprised not many more people have shown interest. id love to give a hand, but without being able to edit and update right there like wikipedia, its a lot more work to tell you what to put up.

I hope you were a nice boy and got permission for all the info you copy and pasted from peoples threds around the net.

i try to include sources and credits where possible... but permissions? nah... imma take it either way, so why bother asking x)

Well, I got a stumble discovery out of it so kool i guess. The main thing with a site like this is to keep it updated.

I think the single most useful thing I see on other sites is strain histories. I really like being able to look up a strain and finding out all about when & how it came into existence, who created it. yada yada yada... Pics in this department are a HUGE plus.

Breaking this down into State or regional strains even further would help growers to identify strains that are only available in their area.

i want it to evetually be a complete database of every strain, but right now its still work in progress.

(thats just an early version, i want to include pictures of buds and growing plants and more information on each strain in the future)

but i dont think breaking it down into geographical regions is agood idea, since most (if not all) strains are available worldwide through seedbanks
