I don't get it. What am I doing wrong?

This is my second attempt at growing and I can't figure out why my plant is dying.

The first time i tried growing, my plant started off nice as shown by the first picture, but then died as shown by the next two pictures.


Now I have a new grow box. its a rubbermaid grow. It has 3 27 watt 5500k bulbs and 1 27 watt 6500k bulb. The temperature is 70 degrees and sometimes reaches 80 depending on the temperature outside. I've been giving it distilled water, and its in 75% FFOF and 25% mg perlite.

I have 2 computer fans for the exhaust and a cut hole for passive intake


It looks like I may be overwatering a little bit, but at the same time, I'm only watering every other day when the soil is bone dry.

I also just started a Northern LightsXSkunk which is in there too, but in the past two days, the stem has only turned red and it hasn't grown at all. Its a very forgiving strain so I'm baffled.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

do you have drainage holes at the bottom of your pots? if not, you probably have excess water at the bottom of the pots.

Yeah there are drainage holes at the bottom. They haven't been completely necessary either cause I've been watering them by spraying them until I see the first drop come out of the bottom

looks to wet to me let it go until the soil on top is dry and powdery then soak it. what size pot you got it in?

Its the tiniest little pot, holds about a cup of soil

looks over watered ......make sure your drainage is good and let a crust build up on top before your next watering

definately lookin over watered... the soil on the top may be dry but that doesnt really matter as long as it's still moist an inch below where the roots are. the bottom leaves are getting really light because you are leaching all of the nutrients from the soil and they are running out of N (also why the rest of the plant is turning bright lime green). let it dy up for a few days and hit them with a very light dose of ferts... depending on the aeration of your soil, you might only need to water once every 4 days to a week!
