I don't think New York is a good place to grow.

I'm wearing thin waiting well into mid October to harvest. It is stressful dealing with the autumn rains, high winds, cooler days and cold evenings. I don't think the growing season is long enough here for marijuana. Barring autos does anybody know of successful strains for this area. I usually do northern lights and sour d. I'm upstate ny. Had my share of bud rot, but almost none on 3 strains.

One of my Bruce banners is really good too, but there's 2 phenos. Sativa leaning one I topped once, still 10' tall. No bud rot on that one. The other pheno is indica leaning, that one has been cut like a pennysaver.
I let them yellow a bit after the stretch before I feed them again. Like a lazy man's defoliation. They say bud rot is "successful growers disease". Grow those big nugs to toss them in the trash.

I put all of them in my outdoor fireplace thing. This weekend my small mountain town will be inundated with people for our famous town wide garage sale. I'm going to let the fire smolder as long as I can.20230926_175820.jpg

Same here in Toronto. Have two Northern Lights that are big, bushy and really getting heavy, but it’ll be touch and go towards the finish line. I need these to go until end of October at least to be consumable. I have a garage that’ll I’ll start utilizing for overnight and when weather turns. Had three Kush that are long done and chopped, so it’s about finding strains that’ll fit the window.

I’m looking at these for next season as they are closer to the 7-9 flower that I’ll likely have to stay within: Gary Payton, Sundae Driver, Berry White & Apollo 13. Sucks because I love a good Sativa, but time is the enemy. A13 while a hybrid presents more sativa-esque in effect and has a short flower time so I’ve got it on the list.IMG_1280.jpegIMG_1279.jpegIMG_1238.jpeg

Try some Hella jelly or Jelly Donuts, I like both in mid Michigan. We just got hit with cold rains 24-7 and 100% humidity at night withtemps of L42F. But that was on the 27th on. Hella Jellys are done really fast and there's no auto in them. Those are done September 20th or sooner with a decent Veg, of like 5 months I've seen some done on the 10th of September. Awesome for pressing or flowers to smoke. This Jelly Donuts has a nice smell, reminds me of so many different flavors, and smells like earlier I pressed alittle and it tasted like malted Mountain Dew and later it had more of a super over ripping cherry and Strawberry so tasty. It reminds me so much of a box of fruity Pepples. I need to try another one... Yeah I forgot there done way done by September 25th.

I'm on Long Island and I grow GSC. I had one go until Nov 23rd a couple years ago (that was overdone . . . best quality was harvested end of Oct).

I figure that mother nature is going to take about 20%. I do training to get as many tops as possible. I'm not gunning for the biggest or most dense buds. I know I'll get bud rot. I've learned to be vigilant and ruthless when I see it.

This photo was taken yesterday in the rain. It's raining again today.
