this seems like a pretty damn good deal. However, I have never done any electrician work whatsoever related to wiring and I heard that you don't just plug this thing into the wall... or do you?

If i'm not mistaken, thats saying that yes, I just have to plug it into the wall.

Might sound dumb, but I certainly don't want to spend this kind of money and have a product shipped to me thats not ready to go. Never hurts to double check.
