Well when you want the sun it rains and when it rains you want the sun and if the weather is cooperating the girls arent moving fast enough. I think I will just quit stressing on the hole deal and smoke. Funny how we just cant seem to let go and let grow.

I try to keep them in no more than 2 gal. Last year produced 5 ft. 4 cola monsters. Dont want them to tall.

Pot size does not determine plant size...availibility of water and nutrients does. Troubleshoot your problems, figure out what to expect at what time from the plant. Patience is invaluable.

your crazy if you think a plant in a 2 gallon container can do as well as a plant in the ground you would be watering that shit twice a day at some point the ground is always better if its available.

Got to keep them mobile...LOL...I rent. Dont have much traffic but it would suck to have to pull from the ground because of an emergency. Its all about management for me. each of mine normally produce a qt. pound if not a little better. And thats in 2 gal pots.

for sure try to give them shade during the hottest hours of the day they like morning sun and evening sun a lot more than the beaming mid day sun.

what you mean pot size doesnt determine plant size.......im here to disagree with that comment...and the pot size definatly does matter, you can feed that small pot of roots all you want and the plant will get root bound and do shit for you ok ,,i do know and have experienced it...if you dont want your plant super tall then put them in at least 5 gallon buckets and you can tie them down to the bucket to your desired size..its not hard...and still easily moveable. i have mine in 5gallon buckets now and i could easily move annytime.

Dude...you're proving my point.
the roots from a 2 gallon container will never compare to the ground where they can grow as big as they have soil the roots can penetrate you will never get a 15 foot plant from a 2 gallon container no matter how much nutes and tlc you give the plant but if you dig a huge fucking hole outside in the ground a 15 foot plant is easily attainable.

I agree the bigger the pot the potential for bigger plants, but as I stated I want to keep them mid size 5 ft. I start them late. Root bound is never been a problem. For personal it is hard for me to be disappointed in qrt. lb. per plant growing vertical. Last year had to tie my colas up, pretty cool I thought.

for sure, nothing against growing in pots I've seen beasts grow in pots and it gives u the freedom to move the plant if necessary, but the ruiner is crazy.

Transplant to a 5 gal bucket, more room to grow still mobile. tie them down to the bucket if they get too tall.
