I got a seed from a bud I bought

germinating is worth a shot. i kept a couple fat seeds from a bag i had and grew them into plants twice as dank

No you can't grow the seed, you can grow the plant that the seed turns in to after germination. You clearly lack the knowledge to acctually grow and cultivate cannabis. You should know the answer to that question before you start trying to grow. I suggest you do some research and learn what it takes to grow a plant.

I mean what else do seeds do? They get planted and they grow!

What kind of Info is that? I have personally gotten plenty of prime nugs and have been blessed with finding a seed here or there and now i have around 40 seeds. There was nothing inferior about the high I received from White Rhino, White Widow, Lemon Haze, and I got some seeds of each, because when a guy has a sack of a couple of ounces, of course there could be a couple or 5 or 10 seeds in those buds somewhere. Ha

One simple way to show they were, at least in one way, inferior is that you bought; "White Rhino" and; "White Widow."

If your dealer, or whoever grew them, had grown the original Cup winning genetics you would have purchased Medicine Man and Black Widow, not; "White Rhino" and; "White Widow," since that is what both were renamed a number of years back by their creator, Scott Blakey (AKA Shantibaba).

Anyone selling; "White Rhino" and; "White Widow" is selling knockoffs and they will be inferior to the originals.

If you are finding one or small numbers of seeds in the pot you purchase, that is the result of the plants turning hermie and pollinating themselves and or each other. There is a likelihood that the hermie trait was passed on to the seed you have, which means it has an increased likelihood to also turn hermie and pollinate itself.

If you don't care about those things, than by all means see if you can get the seed to pop, if it does, plant it and grow it out.
