Ok, so today I get a package of seeds in the mail, only I didn't order them. I immediately checked the only card I have ever used (it's prepaid anyway) but it wasn't charged to me or anything. I am pretty sure it came from SensibleSeeds, my usual place, because I recognize the packaging, but I haven't asked them about it yet. Anyway, it's not like some really expensive seeds, but some relatively inexpensive seeds I had looked at on thier site before, although I never put it in my basket or placed an order for these.

They are from World Of Seeds, which seems to specialize in landrace genetics, so they claim. The strain I recieved is Afgan Kush, with a claimed "THC level of 21.6% measured upon the rest of cannibinoids"
That sounds a bit high, but at least it's somewhat believeable. Anyway I've already started everything I was gonna do for now, some are close to going into flower. Seems like I would want to use a landrace Afgan Kush to perhaps harden up an indoor variety by hybridizing it with this. are these any good? anything anyone knows about this or any landrace type of thing, I will be happy to take comments. Wondering what I should do, this was pretty random, lol.

"bump" Any responses are welcome

Basically I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried anything from "World Of Seeds," Particularly their Afgan Kush? Or any Landrace Afgan? Landrace strains in general even. I got 10 seeds sent to me (apparently for being such a good customer), of this variety and would like some input.

Personally I have always been interested in landraces and the potential within their isolated genetic pools. I also think they may be the wave of the future for the seed industry. For a little while now I have been feeling like the seed community needs to return to it's roots. Using today's technology, take a look at what Neville and Shanti-baba were looking at a couple decades ago. Pretty much every possible cross has been made, there are always new hybrids to cross, but it's losing it's excitement. I think there is a future in pure landrace strains, what do you guys think?

Also, I've started germinating 5 of them. It is a really late start, but these seeds literally came for free and for no apparent reason! I'll keep people filled in on how it goes. :blsmoke:

Any updates on this? I'm looking for some information from growers who have grew landrace strains before and wanting some more information like variety of phenos, smoke, and taste etc, specifically from this Afgankush/Afgan Landrace. Im looking to start a long term breeding project with some auto-flowering traits
