Ok folks bear with me got bugs to work out and what not need to figure out more direction but I have been meaning to start an article series on munchies... so here's number 1: feel free to give me any directional pointers wrote this a bit stoned dang insomnia makes one productive though. But got a good munchie food ya want reviewed and shared with the world? Let me know just one thing though... ya gotta be able to make it blazed as **** so no filet mignon folks, get stoned and let your taste bud's guide you.
This variety of Pastry exclaims that it is now baked with "real" fruit, and as a pop tart connosiur I felt obligated to try them out. When the package is first is opened one is greeted with a decorative display that is colorful even for Pop Tart's standards! Especially with the blue sprinkles, that stayed attached magnificently I might add. There were only a few loose in the package when I opened the first one. After taking a moment to salivate in the pop tart goodness I took a bite to find myself feeling rather gypped. Instead of the classic phrase "where's the cream filling?!" in my case it would be "where's the rest of my fruit filling!?". Seriously folk's wow it is easily half the amount of pastry filling, leaving the pop tart with a dry feeling. Great move by Pop Tart's brand to try real fruit filling; but it need's improvement. If the casing of the pastry didn't feel quite so dry then the lack of filling would not be as big of a drawback especially with the frosting on the top layer and sprinkles! (Yummmmm....) But that weak little amount of fruit paste was incorrigable when compared with the dry texture of the pop tart pastry itself. Good try but not one to stock for the munchie cabinet.
End note: I just noticed it states: Filling made with equal to 10% fruit. Wow Pop Tart's nice fine print! (I am serious they put it in a good spot not to notice at first.)
My vote: 4/10
Boring crap: Claims to have a bunch of vitamins but honestly the levels are so low that it is not worth noting in ones diet in my opinion unless you consume the whole box. Each pastry has 15G of sugar so one bag or pack or whatever has over an ounce of sugar.
I got the Munchies
