Any business that installs irrigation, farm water systems, underground sprinkler systems has all that stuff bulk around here, I just go ask for it. I don’t know where you live but I’m sure there’s places worth a call if you don’t want to wait for covid mail.
Thats usually a different product like rainbirds stuff thats hard as a rock.

Yeah, I think I’m just lucky as they have a good selection. I used the stuff your talking about for underground but the more pliable stuff for a water fountain in the yard. They do residential and commercial RO.

Man I dont know what voodoo magic you guys are applying to your bulkheads but I cant get mine to stop leaking. I got these 2” bulkheads and it keeps leaking around the seal both on the res and site buckets. I put the non nipple flat part on the inside so it made the seal flush up to the wall and nipple on outside and it leaks no mater what. What are you guys doing different?98965D74-94F5-4F14-8459-C07D85B98589.jpeg

Voodoo magic here. Apply liberally on all surfaces needing to be sealed.

It helps if you undersize your holes too so you have to kinda thread the bulkhead into the site too. But it sounds like youre passed that so silicone it up!

ya I undersized it purposely so I had to thread it on. I’ll give the silicone a try, thanks for the link. What a pain in the a$$!

I use a rubber Washer/seal on both sides of the bucket. Hand tighten and then tighten Another full turn with a wrench . I also use plumbers tape on the threads. Works like a charm.

Tightening nut and threads needs to be on the OUTSIDE and seal gasket on the INSIDE so when you tighten the nut, it's presses the seal flat against the wall Evenly And doesn't squish it by twisting the nut down.

thats exactly how I have it. Threads and nut on outside with seal on inside. Still leaks. Im using round buckets which may be the problem. Ill grab some 5gal square totes tomorrow from lowes and see if that provides resolution. May be better to have a completely flat surface anyways.

You can heat with a HEAT GUN (NOT Fire) the side and flatten inbetween 2 boards for a flat surface. The curved surface is VERY likely your issue. That's why you use Uniseals in round buckets.

I have it the opposite way. Threads inside and gasket outside. If you glue your piping to the thread side then wouldn’t your system be stuck together? Mine leaked when my gasket wasn’t all the way flush with the flat end, was slightly caught on a thread

It was the seals that came with the bulkhead. Put them on a square tote and still leaked. So I cut some seals from rubber gasket from Lowes and no more leak. The seals that came with the bulkheads had some weird grooves in them and were not flat. The rubber sheet was flat and has no leaks now.
Nice dude! you can cut your own size gaskets at Lowe's??

I used hot glue to stop some bulkheads leaking. Hot glue (craft glue). Sticks very well to PP plastic. Its quite thick and cures in minutes.

Flat bulkheads 2". On round 25L buckets

Ya I was just trying to make it work a little more clean before putting glue/sealant on it. Looks like all the problem was just the seals that came with the bulkheads being grooved because the flat rubber from lowes fixed the leak
