I had a problem!

For all you aerogarden users... I have read people on here saying they have grown and never changed their nute solution... I tested this, I went a month without flushing my res. Then I got lockout! So if you think its possible to grow from start to finish without flushing your res out, think again! I have trimmed the few leaves I let it affect, flushed, and added 2 more lights to it... I threw her in flower, and we will see what happens... She is pulling out of it fairly well as far as the new growth, but its only been two days... Ill post pics later when she is in light cycle... I only flush when im changing from Veg to Bloom. In the middle of the 2 cycles i run plain water for 24 hours thats about it. Would this be a bad thing only flushing once? Whats the worst that could happen?

Your not using nutes durnig veg?
Edit: It could depend on many different factors too... How long your vegging for before going to flower... It did take a month for me to see signs of lockout.

Yeh i use nutes from week 1 and usually veg for 7-8 weeks. Among all the other questions whats lockout?

Nutrient salts build up and keep your plant from getting the nutrients it needs.

So how often would you recommend to flush your system to avoid this problem?[SIZE=+0] As in max time like once a month maybe every two months? Its just a pain flushing and i like to avoid if possible.[/SIZE]

I won't go more than a month dude... Go to a pet store and get about two feet of 5/8 tubing... That way you can drain it without having to tip it, just be carefull not to pinch the roots. Every two weeks would be better, but make sure tp pH test the water and have it room temp

I grow aeroponics using a 55 gallon res filled with about 30 gallons of water. I dont change the res except for last 1 week of flush.I basically am changing water as I go as my 28 plant setup I have to re top about 12 gallons every 2 days so my water is being cycled and I have air pump in thwater also.I only veg maybe 10-14 days though as plants tend to be 18 inches byt then with the 3 400 watt light.7-8 weeks the plants would be like 3 feet tall before flower lol.
