some more info on the subject.......

B.C. can make the change without any involvement with the federal government, unlike U.S. states.

If the legislation put forward by Washington, California and Oregon passes in each state and becomes law, it will take an act of U.S. Congress for the states to move to full year-round daylight time.

Hunt says if every state passes their bills, all western states should request federal approval together.

"I think it would create some problems if California were in one time zone and Oregon and Washington were in another time zone. And maybe British Columbia could join us to do it all at once," said Hunt.

The change would take at least two years to go into effect.

People change their timers? I don't. My time might change by an hour but plants don't care about daylight savings time. They're still on the same schedule despite moving the clocks ahead.
I change my timers. For the whole reason of non peak hours for hydro bill.

I decided after all the support that dst blows... I'm not subscribing to it anymore. The sun goes up, the sun goes down.

My light is in my bedroom. I usually get up before it comes on.

Some people work long day job hours and being able to enjoy a little fishing or biking or swimming or grilling or even going for a walk in daylight after work helps make those long fucking hours worthwhile!

I know some counties in Indiana never use dst. Some are on eastern time some are on central. My brother lives over there and during a sight seeing tour ( I mean there is mostly just corn to see) the time can fluctuate 3 hours sometimes. Hoosiers...
