I have a 150 hps type B bulb that won't work in a regular fixture can someone tell me

I can't find any 150w that dosen't need a ballist.

I just picked it up at the hardware store for hella cheap, and the guy said just use it like a regular lightbulb but it doesn't work on the box it doens't say anything about a ballast but im not sure...
