Watering is subjective. The simplest way to decide when to water is to water the plant enough so that you have just a little bit of run through coming out of the drainage holes on the side/bottom of the pot, then pick the pot up and see how heavy it feels. Wait several days until the pot is really dry and your plants are just starting to look like they are starting to wilt a little from lack of water, and pick up the pot again and test its weight. Water it like before, and from then on give it more water when its about 2/3 of the way between wet and dry weight.

Your other option is to just take some time and learn to read your plants. During vegging young plants can go longer without watering, so sometimes your only watering twice a week. However, those same plants may want to be watered every day once your into week 7 of flowering and they are 4 foot tall. The size of the pots also matters, as does the intensity of the lights. You put a 3 gallon pot under a 400w HID and it's going to need watering every 2 days, where a 5 gallon under the same light would last 3. They will also go through more water the hotter it gets, so if your like me and have trouble keeping your grow rooms temps under 80 they are going to need it more often. The good news is that it really doesn't take long to read your plants if you pay attention, and by the end of the first month you should be done second guessing yourself when it comes to watering. Just remember that less is more when you are first starting out, and go easy. If you underwater your plants you can usually recover from it easily, but overwatering them when they are young can easily kill them.

Temperatures in the mid 80s are ideal. Outdoor temps can reach 60 at night (indoor should be 70). 50s will cause mild shock, 40s will kill the plant if exposed repeatedly. Your girls may be too young still to handle the 50 degree range; until the first five bladed leaf has formed you want to handle with particular care. I would put them outside in the day and bring them in at night.

In the stage your at now you will not have to water every day; maybe every other or every third. As they get bigger this will increase. in your couple weeks of veg moving into flow stage you could be up to 1/3 - 1/2 gallon per plant each day, depending on container/plant size and conditions. EdGreyfox's reply was on point and I cosign it. I'd heed every bit of advice there especially about learning to judge the weight and just knowing your plant. If you pay attention, it will be obvious when water is needed.

For the animals piss in an empty bottle and leave a urine perimeter around your girls; you don't need much. Re-up on it every other week, more often if it rains alot.

An averag veg stage is approx 6-8 weeks; flow stage is another 7-9 weeks for quick strains and up to 11 weeks on average speed strains....BUT THEN you have to to dry and cure. Some will hand the entire tree to dry at once, this takes way longer. Cut it down to individual stems, hanging the stems naked in a room will take 1-2 weeks for drying to occur, hanging them in a cardboard box in a room will take 2-3 weeks providing you have the right temperature. Anticipate at least 3 weeks after chop before smoke. The true green lovers will let it cure at least amonth after drying. or... you could quick dry which I find an insult to oneself considering all the hard work. Would you marinade and season a steak to perfection only to cook it in the microwave?.... Hell no, you would grill it over charcoal and wood chips to sizzling perfection making sure your grill lines are symertical. Consider curing as the process that brings your project to perfection.

Everything stated is from my own experience. This is my 4th season and I have had rampant and undiluted success thanks to the guidance and input I received in this forum. Good luck.
