first of all let me say i looked all over the forum but couldn't find the answer. I was wondering do daylight bulbs give off more of the blue spectrum. i was just wondering because i have daylight bulbs and they get really hot.:confused:

Yes, daylight bulbs give off more of the blue spectrum which is better for vegetative growth. Keep them close to your plants (1-2"), but not too close that it burns them. Stick your hand inbetween the bulb and plant, if it is hot, move it up a little.
