Closet is 4' 6" in length & 1' 11" in width. I'll post pic to get a better idea. Lol ignore the tiny bud in the picyes it is enough, T5 is great for vegging, size of light depends on room size, it is 4'x? 50w/ft is a minimum for flowering, get an exhaust fan to suck from the ceiling of the room and blow outside
yeah this looks right for a 400w hps. you will need to drill holes one for exhaust and another bigger for passive intake. if you cannot drill, remove the door get some tent fabric or something that you can cut. You absolutely need fresh air supply 24/7. plants need to breathe, also mold will build up, and buds cannot develop with no venting. + it will become an oven in there with ample light for flowering and no venting, no matter what light you use. The exhaust must not dump the air in the same room where you are intake is pulling from from. You could look into LEDs as well, but they are still either expensive or not efficient, so to get a good one will cost a sum add to it that they are a little more challenging to start with. I need the lights' heat most of the time except in mid summer.Closet is 4' 6" in length & 1' 11" in width. I'll post pic to get a better idea. Lol ignore the tiny bud in the pic
I have a small attic that I could use for exhaust, and then I could get fresh air ventilated into the closet from my room. Think that'll work?yeah this looks right for a 400w hps. you will need to drill holes one for exhaust and another bigger for passive intake. if you cannot drill, remove the door get some tent fabric or something that you can cut. Thanks man, I'll look into itIf you are looking for just a few ounces a harvest then I would suggest a 250 hid. When I first started growing a decade ago I tried putting a 400w in a small closet and the heat was way to much so I dropped to a 250 hps. I was harvesting 3-4 ounces a month by putting two palnts in flower and then two more a month later.
The 250w will still need venting but not as much as a 400w would. If money isn't an issue I would look into c.o.b. lighting. Cheers and good luck.
First off, nice grow man and how many lumens does your T5 put out all together? Mine is a 4 bulb fixture 216w 20k lumensView attachment 3840850 only do one plant maybe 2 at a time depending on the pot size and how big you grow her...don't do autos. go photo in 3 gallons. veg in 1 gallon. re-pot to 3 gallon and flip. here's my girl in 1 gallon before I put her in a 15 gallon and flipped to 12\12
8 bulb 400w 40k lum...I have 2 of em...they're cheap 100$ on AmazonFirst off, nice grow man and how many lumens does your T5 put out all together? Mine is a 4 bulb fixture 216w 20k lumens
I only have one, and no room for more. I think I'll go 250w hps for flowering. Lol8 bulb 400w 40k lum...I have 2 of em...they're cheap 100$ on Amazon
Yea I understand, I'll just stick with a 250w hps for flowering.the only thing i was saying is 4 bulbs is crap 20k lumens .....u need 50k for a decent plant
if the plant grows u 1 oz and cost u 200 bucks in feed soil power and seed ....not worth it now if the plant makes u 3-6 oz for the same 200 bucks then it becomes worth it
t5s are not worth it to me as the heat the make builds up as u add more bulbs (just like CFLs) ....t5 are great for starting the plant and veggie but floweing they lack the power to as well as the other lights and to get the power out of them the heat them makes cost u more in AC /fans to controll it
