You're right about not taking them back FDD, they will. I took care of a baby blue jay last year for three days and the Mom finally showed up and took over. I took the bird in at night since it couldn't fly up to the nest and every morning, that Momma was waiting on me. It took three more days till that baby flew. I learned alot.

i had 1 overnight. they are wild, living under the house. this is why he bit me. i understand you think you're helping, but i'm not 12. :bigjoint:

i put food in the box and he jumps in and eats it. i pet him while he's in the box. he looks pretty angry eating all that banana, corn, cucumber, papaya, ....... :joint: IMG_3655.jpg

and he looks like hes protecting that piece of food, he is cute
 
You won't be able to tell them apart unless you break out the branding irons.

Now if your wife can just hold them still enough while you apply the hot iron.....

just got back from wildlife rescue. one of the little guys showed up in the backyard at 1 pm today. it was warm and bright and sunny out. he was teetering on the edge of the cats water bowl trying to get a drink. he didn't look so hot. he could barely hold himself up and his head was swaying back and forth. he didn't look good.

so i called the rescue center and they said to bring him in. they took a quick peek at him while we were there and said he just looked a little under nourished. they will nurse him back to health then allow us to take him back and release him back to the wild. i have to call tomorrow to check on him. once he's all better i get him back. pretty cool.
