If I had some kind of large crystal orb, positioned on a tower where the most sunlight shines during the day (up at the top of the hill), I was thinking maybe I could run fiber optic cables all the way back down to the greenhouse. The idea hit me last night when thinking about automated sun tracking mirrors to help send light to other places. I looked it up, and sure enough its a thing! Fiber optic grow specific lights running to greenhouses or to underground bunkers, with special UV filtering lenses that protect the cables, etc. There are a few companies been doing R&D, and making it a reality. Only works during the day, but still cool and opens up all kinds of new possibilities to supplementing light in remote areas. I'm sure naysa is working with it too.. i'll have to look into it more. Cool concept!
