I have no idea

what nutrients to use, which ones marijuana needs, and in what amounts, and when they need them.

can anyone help out with a nutrient recipe/plan for hydro?

Thanks

PS. i should also add that, as a complete beginner with no idea, the choices in nutrients are overwhelming,
and with companies selling all kinds of products and nutrient lines full of hype, im just asking for some guidance.

Do plants really need to have all that shit?
or are there basic needs that plants need to have fulfilled-
and are there simple nutrient solutions that can fulfill that need?
and what are they and in what amounts, and when do i add them?

I just dont think buying a line of nutrients that are called, "extra big ass booty buds" is a wise decision.

Please help,
Thanks.

Hey, youre awesome, thanks for a real reply. but...
im pretty skeptical.
Im just not comfortable buying nutrients for my expensive money tree set up from someone
who went into their mother's garage and decided to start a fertilizer company from it.
Also not too interested in buying the most vital part of my hydro grow from someone who says,
"you know nothing about fertilizers. And don't really care to know. You could care less what ph is.
That was something you slept through in some distant high school science class.
You don't even own a measuring spoon. But you are able to measure a gallon of water."

The whole thing seems half baked, and will probably produce half baked results. unless someone can show me pics proving otherwise, im definitely not sold.

Hi :)

So your kind of asking a question that can't be answered , Yes plant's need all that shit ... and the plants have basic needs , Yes you can get simple nutrients that can do it .

What that nutrient is and how much is used .... is totaly up to you and how well you follow the grow schedual :)

Your correct about the hype though .

My advice is simple , As your a beginner , Go with whats tryed and tested , Example , Poular brands like CANNA , Advance and so on ... Get a few grows under your belt ... then you can decide for yourself whats right for you and your plants .... Bottom line is this .... It's the same shit in diffrent mix values in all the bottles ... some with a few added bits and bobs .... But its all just ferts :)

My first hydro grow i use plant prod fertilizer from the hardware store with excellent results so you don't need to spend lots of money i spent 20 bucks and they last for many crops. npk for seed/veg/flower 10-52-10/25-10-10/15/30/15. After I went to more advanced sensi grow highly recommended but pricey.

Thanks for the helpful reply. Since posting this ive come to a somewhat better understanding of nutrients,
and Im going to go with the General Hydro solutions and the feeding schedule they offer.
But will that produce big, quality yeilds?
Or do you have your own tried and tested formula youd like to share?

The best and easiest thing to do is buy Technaflora's Recipe for Success kit. I too have a hard time figuring the nutes...and this kit makes it way easy...tells you what to add and when....I have killed many plants prior to this kit...and I must say that I have added some nutes and my plant is still alive...that counts for something in my book...lol.

Take the presure off yourself of trying to figure out whats best and whats not ... that will come later , Sure we all want the best bang for buck thats going to help us grow a ton of shit ... But the actula outcome of your crop is related more to how well your enviroment is diald in ... the strain you decide to grow ...and how you yourself pay attention to the plant ... read it ...and know what it needs and when .... Thats all a growing schedual is How much and when ... the rest is down to you :)

Hope that makes sence :)

GH range will be fine .... also look and compair prices of CANNA .. myself and many people i know use them ... tryed and tested :0

Well it is meant to advise how easy to use it is as well as cost efficient so it is dry ...not paying shipping for water....I have used it and like it...write and ask them anything you want...they will answer any and all questions and are very knowledgeable and awesome customer service...No I have no financial gain through them but like their product its results as well the cost...and that they will go out of their way to please you

Just trying to help

High Ventos- Welcome to RIU

Yeah, my site does look pretty half baked at this point, lol, but my stuff is real.

The gist of my whole product line is this:

You don't have to horde all these bottles to get a good yield. You can do it with a packet or two.

My week2week is a single packet. One packet a week, plain water in between.

My 2-1-3, 1-2-3 etc are components of the week2week.

I am a one-man show, and web copy isn't my strong point. I am. however, a beast at all these things that are currently happening offline.

You'll only know how good this stuff is unless you try it.

Half baked? Well, I'm totally baked rt now. I'm a real person, with a strong idea, who looks a little amateurish rt now. I can admit that much.

More documentation, a few calculators, and a new theme and logo is in the offing.

'til then you should try a few samples and see for yourself that this stuff really does produce real results. Even with that half-baked name and logo affixed to the products....:)

Yeah, man.

Really, I'm taking this as very very constructive criticism right now. Seriously.

I'll level with you-- my site's only been up for a month. I thought I had a few more months to worry about copy, really. My site traffic is doubling weekly. Crazy.

Thanks for the kick in the ass!

yeah hit me up,
also I have a question, how much are you yeilding per plant/light with the smokengrow nutrients?
This is another ploy with marketing, GAA.

You can hit all the benchmarks with any brand, honestly, if you do it right.

The whole gist of my nutes is that you get the right mix from the start, so you can focus on other things such as conditions, pruning, all the other things that are just as important, things that make a difference in the end product. You see the proportions on the label? That'll guide you through the grow, cut down on the learning curve.

The benchmark is 2lb per 1K watt per 10-12 plants, but you have to have the right genetics, among other things.

Genetics, lighting, and conditions are more so the limiting factor than what brand of nutes you are using! Skill level , too.

But anyway,

2 lb per 1 k

1.3 ish per 600 watt hps

and roughly a

lb, 4/5 lb per 400 watt hps

or .8 gram-1.2 grams per watt of high intensity light.

But you have to grow a strain such as White Rhino, Sweettooth, NL, --

It's tough to hit those kind of numbers with strains such as blueberry or g-13.
