OK I have a problem. I grow with hydro. I have been growing some random shwag bag seeds. My friend kept telling me he would get me some nice clones with good genetics. I waited and waited, Just kept on with the shwag. Finally today he shows up with 2 clones 1 White Widow and 1 Blueberry (sweet!!). Only one problem, they are already rooted into dirt. Everything I have is set up for Hydro. Should I just let them grow til big enough to clone or try to rinse off the roots and transplant to hydro? I dont feel comfortable with dirt and I already have my timers and everything set up for hydro. What should I do? I am attaching 2 pics of the new clones (in dirt) and 2 pics of some of my own bag seed (in hydro). Please help!!

Get a big bowl or bucket and fill it with water as if you where filling your hydro tub. Fert, PH and EC it all too. Gently take them out of there pot and set the root ball in the water. Gently loosen the soil around them. You will have to change the water a couple of times to get the dirt out and roots. After a while of gently rubbing and moving the roots around the dirt will all loosen off and you will have only roots left. Then stick them in your Hydro set up. They will be in some shock for sure but it is the only way I know how to get it done. They will recover though.

make sure to get all dirt out and careful not to damage any roots..you should use warm water not cold!!!!should not go into ny shock if done properly bro.. make sure to spay foliar, the roots have to adjust to not having dirt and not drink as much first couple days k.+rep , if any help bye.

I guess I'm the coward of the group......I'd pinch 'em to get 4 branches, then clone the 4 branches and toss the dirt........but I grow in RW so it'd be harder for me to use a rooted plant......depending on the root mass. If they're just rooted clones, I could do it...but I'd still be leary of disturbing the roots. If you had two of each.......then no real harm in trying one to see if you suceed before you try the other....but with only one....I'd opt for the safer method. I'm more Turtle than Hare.... I take 4 cracks at success over one any time, but that's just the way I am...........
