I built my own DIY scrubber for my last grow but never used it. I really like the design (not mine) so I am going to buy some activated carbon and use it.

I was thinking about buying this:

Is that the right kind of carbon and is that what im looking for?

Secondly I am looking for a powerful (~400 CFM) inline fan but isn't industrial sounding.

The carbon will work, but is made for filtering water. There is carbon meant for filtering air/gas that will work better. How much better, I dunno.

Fans? I like the S&P TD series. Fairly quiet, strong and a hybrid design.

That to me looks like a ton on carbon, but I'm just a noob so I haven't had to mess with odor control yet. I figure I'll be in the same boat. Have you heard of ona gel? I'm thinking of trying that and/or an ozone generator. I have my setup in my basement so I don't have to many spacial concerns. Whats the area of your grow? Some things work better for small setups some better for big ones it's all up to the grower. Good growing.

Look around Ebay for a Dayton blower. They make a 465cfm that moves air great, even with higher static pressures. They are pretty quite and can be found for under 75 bucks.

Yeah I noticed it was for water I will look at see if I can find air activated. I will look at those fans to! Thanks man!
