ok well every local grow op thats busted, on a large scale like 200+ plants have always been busted by smell or so it's told in the news ect. cops are not even smart enough to catch every killer,rape ect. i guess the level of detection is in the level of grow. less grow less opritunity to get busted as much as the large grows with many more chances to detect. always be Paranoid, never show people your plants, and do pay them bills.

lol as long as your smart and not cheap you should be fine, there is a grow op near me with tin foil on the windows and its just retarded anyone can tell its a grow op, you need to cover it behind the curtains.

I should also add that both of my rooms are legal/carded medical grows.

IMO, there's no reason NOT to use a buncha power and go as large as possible when you have a license to go for it.

a normal incandescent bulb you might use in a lamp is 75 watts. 250 watts is like 3 lamps running for 12 hours a day. its when you get into 2 or more 1000W bulbs that you have to worry.

but do compensate for the usage by changing to CFL bulbs around your house anywhere you can. they save major wattage man.

What timing for me. PG&E (local utility) sponsored a deal last week where you could buy 2 60W Sylvania CFL's for $1.98!!! I bought three dozen.

first of all the guy who told you about the power companies lives in canada in america the compainies wont report you law inforcment is trying to pressure to report but they wont for two reasons the first is we growers are there best costomers and two they can claim or are legitimently worried that if the employee snitches might get stiches basically and if you wanna caculate your usage time how many watts time how many hours and find out (off power companies web site your bill or watever) wat they charge for kilawatt hour a kilawatt is 1000 watts so if its 10cents a kilawatt and you got 1000 watt light 18 hours 1 dollar 80cents thats about a 60 dollar a month increase not noticable you can do the math for the wattage you consume
