first bubbler is a success and fail. it has a crack. i heard it crack when i was welding the stem on. it worked, bubbled, but it leaks where it's cracked. i used it and put it on my shelf. it is now part of the "archives". if you wanna see it you'll have to come over. i took no pics. :(

What do you think happened? Or why do you think it cracked? Had the bubbler cooled too much before you worked the stem? Just curious....:wink:

i hit a cold spot with a hot flame. i heard it happen and looked for the crack but couldn't find it, until it came out of the kiln.

it was a "test". i didn't take time to do anything cool with it. i was basically seeing if i could weld in a down stem. there really isn't much to see.
