the caramel and the chameleon have a lot of "fumy" in them. it burns off as i melt it all in. so technically it is getting fumed; just by the color itself, not by me. it's a really cool techniques that i love doing, i'm just having problems with it cracking a lot. i have a few things i will try, to get it to stop. :mrgreen::peace:
 
How do you torchwork pipes? I thought torchwork was used for smaller scale glass work? are you using the torches they sell at Home Depot that are like the cheap $30 ones (you can use those!) or are you using an Oxygen/Propane style torch?
 
pyrex glass is typically made with bench top torches , liquid oxygen/propane. i think ur thinking of soft glass (w/. the gloryhole stuff) ...

no lol...i dont have it setup as u see..althou i would love to get it going, and in turn would love some competition..shit would be fun.. Nah i used to have rolls of those stickers, i remember i used to own a mitsi.. eclipse, and an old g/f put that shit on my steering wheel, and the torch, and it just kinda stayed thru time.. hope u dont mind me stayn w/. ur glass thread FDD...its actually motivating me quite a bit to start tinkering out there with my shit.. i found a box fullof points and unfinished pieces color rod, chunks of coin lot of stuff i though wuz no longer..ill get some pics up soon..
 
dude that pipe with the mushroom in it is awsome, im thinking about taking up this art if i could make shit like that! nice dude

Damn that marble looks awesome.. Wish I could say the same about the pipe. But yeah that marble is fuckin great. Looks kinda like a quasar. (Sp?)

my stem got a little stretched out. i like the shaping on the can but it is a little sloppy. it hits nice and is comfortable to hold though. :mrgreen:
