i remember way back in grade school we put food coloring in a flower vases water and it changed the white flowers color. im sure it would change pots color too if added to the water you fed it as it was alive. i know that is extremely pointless. but maybe cool? you could color code different strains or plants for keeping track. or just color your shit blue so everyone knows its yours and good. im sure it would make diagnosing issues with the plants health difficult.... im sure it wouldnt hurt the plant any. you could grow a rainbow and smoke it too. just sayin.... whatevs...

Someone around here had a thread about food coloring.. fdd maybe? I could be wrong I cant remember but if after you harvest you put the cut stem in food coloring for so long it does change the color.. Just can't remember everything exactly lol

My friend had a nug that from a dispensary out here that was obv. colored w/ purple food coloring. It just looked super blotchy because the purple was so vascular. But hey, tricked 'em into buying purple weed for more money.

i think that kind of dishonesty in such an environment is a damn shame. its not even like purple weed is better than any other shit. ive seen some hellof purple nugs that were mediocre at best. lol probably some sort of health problem in the plant and some kids like "yeah bra this shit is hella della. i call it 'the strain formerly known as purple rain'. $60 an eighth man, its worth it." CRAP I SAY! crap. damn kids. any time some whack job has purple weed all of a sudden its purple kush... i just want some blue shit cause well... i like pretty flowers in my garden. growing a rainbow sounds really relaxing. "sorry, i cant go out tonight. im going to be tending to my rainbow this evening." god i need a life.
you could make red gold and green mixed bags if you wanted to be a dumbass about it. lol.

lol yeah dude, that's kinda fucked up a dispensary would trick patients into buying fake purps. I mean i've smoked some insanely dank purples before but also shitty bud that was purple. The picture is of the GOOD shit.

i knowwwwww it was really good shit man. Like any regular smoker knows its kinda hard to get really ripped. But once in a while those certain strains come around that do the job. That was one of them hahah shit smoked and smelled like candy

you could always tell people that green food coloring cures nitrogen deficiency. lol yellow leaves turn green PROBLEM SOLVED. well i guess im gonna go for it.. only allowed six flowering plants here (i have 8 in veg now) so i am gonna keep the weaker two in veg to try out new topping/training ideas on. ill just add some food coloring to their water. lol this is kinda stupid. . . shits and giggles, right?
WOW! i did that thinking thing again just now. i realized food coloring might be a really easy way to see how fast/much your plants are drinking. like water and in two hours or whatever see exactly where your nutrients are going. maybe there are some congruences between how fast the color fades and how fast nutrient levels become depleted... like "oh look at that, leaves arent blue anymore, time to feed." i dunno im really new at this. just trying to come up with ideas.despite this idea im sure ill eventually have a good one!

ill deff sub to check it out.. i dont see why it wouldnt work to tell u the truth... it makes sense.. that would be awesome.. i had thought of this a few times before.. but never did anythign with it.. imagine RED bud too.. i think that would look really cool. or almost like a yellow/green?? =) deff let us know wen u start it man!!

i was just thinking, maybe the addition of pigment would reduce/hinder the production of chlorophyll in the leaves. i wish i had a couple clones going (wtf so frustrated with mine. not rooting. i built an aerocloner and have NO fucking idea why shits not taking off. HELP) so i could try it out on two nearly identical plants. one with coloring one without, to see if there are any noticeable adverse effects. i would love it if some one were willing to join me in this pointless but "hey ive got nothing better to do" project. thanks
