I am currently in Florida (worse state for marijuana imo) but I am moving out west to a more sensible state for marijuana laws. I have done my homework on the plants life cycle, but my theory has had no practice.Down here people are lets say frustrating to deal with or even find someone who has anything insightful to say beyond what I can find in my horticulture indoor/outdoor marijuana growers bible. Jorge Cervantes. due to the legality of the plant no one knows there head from there ass in actual open practices.I need some friends to help enhance my chances when I do make the move to the golden land.:hump:

lol Ide really appreciate good insight if you could help out a noob...

Im new to the forum but not that new. If you have an internet connection you dont need any Rl folks to tell ya what, when and how.. All the info is you need is a matter of a few clicks away.

Seems like a bunch of work to grow some smoke. I guess if your going to move and has the abilty to relocate, then yeah thats what I would do too. Just dont get into the -10 below zero winter crap or you'll be wishing that smoke had anti freeze Genetics in it.

which state would be best? my top three are
1 California (obviously I would like to get in before they vote on prop 19 and land value skyrockets beyond current prices)
2 Colorado (good pot laws they have California store front also but, could be one of those -10 degree states)
3 Michigan (from what I hear they have the third best pot laws in the country, beyond that I am not sure)

If anyone lives in a state with good pot laws and a practical business model please let me know.Like I said I live in Florida and it is terrible here, so as much help as I can get from people would be appreciated.

everything you could ever want to know on the subject is published. In fact, I have found almost everything you really need to know from Mel Frank, as well as reading a few books on cannabis chemistry. There are also a lot of good articles in sources like cannabis culture, high times, and ic.
Sites like this are great resources as well. I personally suggest reading a few books, get the basics down pat, and then forums are a great place to get help making trade-off decisions and for more advanced growing info than most of the guidebooks will go into.
In one way or another this question of RL ganja centered relationships comes up. The only difference between ganja relationships and any other relationship you form is that the ganja one might be illegal. If you're moving to a med state, and get a recommend, then you become legal, and just do what you'd do with any hobby or activity. Look for clubs or groups, inquire at your local dispensaries, get to know other patients who grow their own, etc. Though it may be legal now, it recently wasn't. Many of those using legally now were using illegally for a long time. Don't be surprised if they are a little more guarded than other activity groups, they are just more used to functioning underground than they are above ground still.
I also can't help but point out that no amount of 'book learning' is going to replace experience. Before I ever planted a seed I had read a number of books on the subject, but it wasn't until I had a few grows under my belt that I started having good results. There's science to it, but it's more of an art, and requires practice :)

I believe I am at the forums stage in this development, at least I am not running out west and starting up this big project only to fail time and time again from pest, disease, and nutrient deficiency only to get frustrated and pay out the ass for quality buds. BTW I am thinking of taking photos of the local bud that anyone living down here would consider it good bud just to see what people that have better access have to say.

Damn are you still there now? And what do you think of our current Marijuana Laws and have you signed the petition? Doesn't matter to me anymore. we missed the 2010 vote by quite a few signatures.I honestly hate it here so much, I wish all thesae right wing nut jobs (like they care about jobs) would go with the flow for once.
