One time my highschool friend, his Dad, and I went snowmobiling on the back side of Mt. Howard at night. This was in ~1974. We were about halfway to the top of the now-closed gondola lift when we stopped and made some sno-cones with peach brandy in dixie cups we'd brought for the occasion. The wind was blowing a bit and the trees around us were swaying except one which my friend pointed out, and then said "IT'S THE YETI HOLDING IT UP!" which scared the shit outta me to be honest
