I Love Molasses

I love when I see people do experiments and not just throw the fact around that it's better. Well done my friend!

It's awesome to see a nice technique that is not only proven to help all strains, but also something that everyone can agree on based on stellar results! Gotta love rollitup for a great community! Keep on growing not only your plants, but your experience as well

my babies are a week into flowering.... just started molasses at 1 tsp/gallon. Will do that every other watering, probably altering with nutes.... Heard only good things!!! (both from here and my friend)

This was a pretty cool post and very cool experiment. There is no doubt that the 1st bud is HUGE. But I'm surprised no one mentioned that the 2 seeds used were likely of 2 different phenotypes, like 2 brothers, they will each have their own characteristics, size, smell etc.. So while molasses is still awesome, in order to really test this theory you'd have to use to 2 clones.

I too am a believer in the power of molasses. But I don't think it should be expected to be a miracle worker. If it always worked like it seems to work in this post, stores would be sold out of molasses from CA to NY!!

looks nice... but if you're trying to show size you should use the same object in both pictures to compare to.. or just take a picture of them both next to eachother.

you used the molasses in veg too?

i read somewhere that molasses contains chlorine. so adding it to ur medium without prep will kill ur microlife.

umm... no. No chlorine. Just so everyone knows. It's best to get the unsuphured blackstrap molasses. It contains a higher ratio of micronutrients than regular molasses. I've used it for years and love the results I get.

It's not just good for your soil it's also an excellent chelating agent.

Damn, lifeisaa, your icon lady's got a big ole butt!

So the above pix.. How far apart were they taken? And is it possible that in that time frame your buds would have fattened up on their own? Is this a strain that you have grown out for a few cycles and notice that the molasses in fact makes a nice difference?

I really want to see someone run a solid side by side comparison of 2 clones and see what kind of size difference they get.

Exactly, ideally 2 clones from the same mother in the exact same conditions. Otherwise too many variables

i'm using 3 year old molasses. anyone know if the stuff goes out of date or if its still safe to use after that long?
