Clone only strains are just that. Strains that either nobody knows exactly what the genetics were that gave rise to the strain or in some cases the strain cannot be reproduced because the mother plant and/or pollen donor were lost. I'm sure that some of the clone only strains were intentionally made clone onlies so that they could have a monopoly. The only problem witht that is as soon as they give up a clone to someone else then anybody has the potential to end up with and profit from the strain.

Also, if there are clones around people dont want to go buy the seeds and grow em all out hoping to get a really dank one. That's why when you find one you gotta sit on that shit lol
