Yeah back then gameplay just seemed to be the focus ... but now its about graphics and shaders ... Don't get me wrong ... i love games with ultra rich DX 10 graphics ... they look amazing ( Crysiss..totaly rocks ... CryEngine2 prolly the best graphics engines around and will be for some time to come ) but games can lack a bit of gameplay now .

Resident evil ( I think ) was one of the first games i ever seen with video intro ...looking back now it looked really bad ... but at the time it was like being there LOL :))

For all you guys that enjoy the Video Horror fix ( they had a name for it and i can't remember bongsmilie ) You will no doubt Love F.E.A.R ... scared the shit outta me :)

Was playing C&C on the PS1 and then went to PC ... i think since then i have had every updated version ... I loved C&C Tib Sun ... I used to make a lot of maps and mods :)

I dunno how i forgot in my list ..... Unreal Tounement PC and Ghost Recon PC .... I know we are prolly talking about Old OLD games here ... but they are knocking on 10 + years old ... I played them to death :)

Another console game was LOTUS on the MegaDrive ....Looked crap but was HARD .... Some of the young games around today would struggle hard to play it :)

I have been thinking about this thread all day on and off ..omg i have had so much fun playing games over the last ...30 + years :)

I played the crap out of air-sea battle, Pitfall, and Jungle Hunt on Atari 2600


Edit:
My old Atari 2600 burned up, so I had to replace it with the slimmed down version.
