I need a good raito for bud to everclear for tincture.

I'm looking to make it decently potent to put in these 2oz dropper bottles. I would like to provide this to my patient but am unsure of a good ratio for everclear to bud. Any info would help but please have actual experience or a source we can reference. Thank you!

not sure about the specific measurements, but i have tried this method a few times and the tink turned out potent as shit. but i also used a bunch of popcorn nugs along with my trim.

looking forward to some other input on this.

I grind as much bud as I want to use for the tincture. I may also add some kief if I want to really kick it up but it is NOT needed for this method. I then put ground bud in a mason jar and pour enough Everclear ro just cover the herb. Screw the lid on and shake for five minutes. Use a funnel and a coffee filter to strain, make sure to squeeze it out good. I then put it in a dropper and add roughly 10% by volume Organic Blue Agave Necter. this cuts the burn a little. I only add the agave to the dropper so the main jar doesn't get sticky. This recipe is extract strength and I only use a 1/2 mL dropper for dosing. You could add a teaspoon of this to a bowl of mashed potatoes and stone a dinner party. It is awesome for pain. I have even used it as a pain reliever for tooth aches related to infection. I squirt it on the spot and in about thirty seconds it numbs out and I am a lot better. Super quick and easy and the best part potent. I hope you like it.

with things like this its really just how strong you want to make it and also have to figure in tolerance and the strength of the bud your using. good luck with it!

I'm going to use a gram of bubble hash to each oz of everclear... sounds good?

I believe Ed's trash to stash recommends about 1 oz dry cannabis / Liter of booze. IMO Everclear is the worst thing to use as it is so high in alcohol that it strips lots of chlorophyll out in addition to active compounds, plus everclear in itself is VERY harsh for the end user. I have never thought to add agave, I have some everclear tincture just sitting around because it makes my mouth so raw when it is applied, no bueno. I will try this, Danks a lot lampworker! Agave is great as a flush carb too, it dilutes in water very easily compared to some other substitutes.

I like 1 oz dank med / Liter of High Quality BRANDY, the smoothest alcohol tinctures I have used were made by my father (my tincture guru) out of Brandy. He has tried rum (lots of impurities), everclear (IMO way too harsh for direct spray use), brandy (the smoothest). Cold and slow are the key to good tincture he says.

Also I have learned that a fine mist under the tongue seems to aid absorption and increase effectiveness. I would do a spray top instead of a dropper personally. Also, warn your patients that after use it will smell like they took a shot of whatever booze you go with!
