I need a Oregon Grower to get my medical card.

You do not need an Oregon Grower to get a medical marijuana card, from my understanding. If you truly need a grower, get your card, and go to a social at a local place.
I called to make my appointment, and they said that I do.

Just list yourself, then. Even if you do not grow your own, at least you will be legal to carry what you DO have. Good luck!

I disagree. Even without a grower, he is going to be better off than when he was illegal. Also, there are plenty of people like myself who will help out med patients who do not have growers yet. For me, it all depends on the situation.
So, I would get the card regardless of having a true grower or not. You will not be worse off, that is for sure.

I guess i should have elaborated more, sorry. I live in California, so I dont have a grow spot in oregon to list. I need to pay an extra 50 bucks to lsit someone else as my grower. I got pulled over in oregon and they are charing me in court for a little bit of medicine so I am trying to become as legal as I can.

Good point.....I failed to think of the fact he does not have an address to list it as.

Poke around and find the facts. You might be safe already. Ask your lawyer about this though!

Edit to add: I never noticed this before, as I have been told that Oregon does not reciprocate with other medical marijuana states. Seems to me like they do and don't know it. Nowhere that I can find in this statute does it say only Oregon residents...
[FONT=&]475.319 Affirmative defense to certain criminal laws involving marijuana; notice.[/FONT][FONT=&] (1) Except as provided in ORS 475.316 and 475.342, it is an affirmative defense to a criminal charge of possession or production of marijuana, or any other criminal offense in which possession or production of marijuana is an element, that the person charged with the offense is a person who:
[/FONT][FONT=&] (a) Has been diagnosed with a debilitating medical condition within 12 months prior to arrest and been advised by the persons attending physician that the medical use of marijuana may mitigate the symptoms or effects of that debilitating medical condition;

[FONT=&] (c) Possesses or produces marijuana only in amounts permitted under ORS 475.320.[/FONT]

Not me. I would not touch this with a 10 foot pole. Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but I am doubting you are going to find someone who will give you their very personal info, given that you are a stranger. Good luck......I think your best bet is to listen to boxorain's advice above. It seemed to be the best way for you to start. Hope it works out for the best.
I think your biggest problem is that you are going to need a photocopy of your grower's Oregon ID, and I don't know anyone that would just offer that up to someone they never met over the Internet. Your best bet, IMHO, is to ask anyone that you know who lives in Oregon to be your grower; doesn't matter if they really grow, as long as you have an address.

Unless you got caught with major amounts, I would not sweat it, it would be a misdemeanor and will most likely just have to pay a fine. I am sure that fine would be cheaper than the cost of getting your card.

Something about you is just not sitting right with me. This is like the 4th or 5th post on this same question. I smell something fishy. If I was you like I said in your other post. Pay the dang ticket, it can't be much, worry about getting your card later if you still want it. As for finding a grower, What is to stop you from just taking their crop and crusing back to Cali, all because they have your paper. Whether you intend to for them to really provide you with meds. You also seem to be taking advantage of the system here to have growers in two states. If and when you cross the border as long as your not carrying LBs they would not fuck with you if you had your Cali card on you. I don't mean to point fingers I am just saying if you don't want peeps thinking these things you might want to slow your roll.

WTF first of all I have a valid cali recommendation and the state trooper in CLACKAMAS COUNTY didnt give a shit, I am charged with a felony. 2nd of all im not a fucking thief, i grow in cali outdoors during outdoor season. im a permanent resident in this country, i am from brasil. so i dont want a felony on my record as that is very bad i can get flagged for ICE if any of you know of immigration issues. i live in fuckin california why the fuck would would i drive all the way to oregon to steal a crop? i live an hour and a half from humbolt county and i work on farms for my friends in the summer. so that just sounds fucking rediculous. how am i taking advantage of the system? because i dont want to be probed by the court systems for 2 ounces of pot? im being charged with a felony dude.

Hey, man. Our hearts go out to you, but you made this mistake, not us. You are asking Oregon people to give you their address, what do you expect? If you grow, you should know exactly where we are coming from. You would never give your address to a stranger. Never.
Good luck fighting the felony. I sincerely hope you get off, but trying to drag medical patients into your legal issues is just in bad taste. Period. Our medical laws are here to protect the people that are legal medical patients. They are not meant to get a dude off of felony possession charges from another state.
