I know this has been asked a bunch, but before I get jumped on I have been asking on other threads about it and have tried to not start a new thread, but have no responses. Anyway. I have too much conflicting information regarding lights. And just so you know, I am somewhat tech savvy so I understand basics, i'm not that naive about growing even though I am a noob.
I plan on growing 4 bushy screen plants. I have a 2x2x4 tall Gbox tent with a 180w led (90w~120w draw) and 4 100w cfls ( 23w actual) .. I figured this was good to kind of make up for each others drawbacks.
Some people say ufo's are perfect for small scale enclosed grows. Some people swear by them, and some say they don't work for anything. I'm starting to think they are only useful in small scale focused growing instead of large scale. It seems a lot of people are losing light laterally in open grow rooms. Just my opinion on it. But we'll see.
The cfls I have along the led are 2 warm and 2 cool spectrums. Should I get more cfls or higher power ones? Is this enough lighting? It's 400w comparable but only 100w actual.
I just want to make sure I can pull 150 grams off of the 4 plants after about 12 week grow. Is that unrealistic?
How should I calculate gram/watt yield. With actual wattage or comparable wattage?
I see the average is around .5g-1g per watt. Is that per plant or per grow? I hear a lot of back and forth about it. Can anything be cleared up for me? I'n thinking with 200W+ I'll be able to get about 150g. But my math could be off. What do you guys think?
