where the split is apply some rooting gel/powder and use a peice of duct tap or other strong tape, and bind them back to gether, trust me it does work

I'm not sure about the original question, exceot agree with the guys above, But, I want to suggest covering the outsire of those pots with tinfoil or something that will block out light. Roots hate light, and will grow along the outside or the pot(more willingly) if they have a dark area to grow to. That why people never see a bunch of roots growing up out of the soil. Light is a natural root barrier.(as is air)

you can't tell this guy to use tin foil it will burn his plant severly, even the dull side even that close to the plant, do you mean a bin liner????? no disrespect jawbrodt

if you tape it good enough and tape lower and higher than you need (above and below the split) you shouldnt have any problems, i have done this twice and so far no problem, just took an extra week or so to finish due to the stress

Nah, it won't effect them at all. Even if he was using a 1000 watt HID, the foil being wrapped on the outside of the pots, isn't in a location that would reflect any light upwards towards the foliage. Sorry man, but you are incorrect. Seriously, it is totally safe to use there. :)

A bin liner or a grow bag would work too, or anything that would block out the light. Use whatever is easist to work with, and easily available.

wouldnt the tape put like chemicals in the weed and fuck with it?

Never tried it myself, but I have seen it used plenty of times without any problems. Maybe somebody can chime in with thier own personal results, and back me up?

I've also seen bread ties used, and plastic zip ties. The plants stem will eventually expand and break them when it gets bigger, so removing them is not an issue either.

Hi I surgest you use rooting hormone, apply this to the inside of the split, and wrap a breathable elastaplast firmly, but not overlytight around the split section, but not over the top where you can most probably see a hole going down the inside of the main stem, also you can use RIZLA (blues work the best :) ) and wrap this around the damaged section...then once its healed after watering/misting a few times the RIZLA paper will dissolve and your plants will be good as new hope this helps :) ~ Stelthy :)
