I need HELP TOPPING my plant

SHe is about 7-8 inches tall i want her bushy not that tall. heres a pic. If you can quide me through the steps so i can do this correct. Iv heard of one method to get sissiors and cut in a 45 degree angle right below the new set of leave above the top node

Topping is simple you can fim by cutting 70% of the newest growth on top. or just hack at the top of the plant. I have cut plants in half with no prob. It looks like you need more light if you want them bushy. The space between the nods is stretching dew to lack of light. You also have some thin stems. You need a osculating fan to make them strong enough to support the bushy growth you want. Good Luck

see i still tell myself i dont have enought light. My other plant that is 18 inches did not get anywhere near anough light so it has gapping space between the nodes. anywho i have agrobrite 24 inch 20 watt grow tubes. two bulbs are under my plants. Is that anywhere near enough light? i keep telling myself i need like more watts.

Also so i can cut her half way inbetween the second and third node?

bury that stem up to first set of leaves.,.get a fan.,.,and give it a lil tim to top when u get sum more light

what light do u reommend for just a 3foot long and 2foot wide closet????????? i have 6 plants total 1 18 inches, the one in the pic and 4 little ones just sprouting.

just think of it ike this. Look at your top 2 nodes. You have 2 branches at either side and a stalk going up the middle. The plant is sending hormones there to tell it that that is the top of the plant (terminal cola). If you cut the top off (right above a node (set of branches)) it can no longer send its hormones there. So it sends them to the branches directly below your cut and they in turn become your new tops. Top above 1 set of branches to have 2 tops. Top above 2 nodes to have 4. Any more than that it is to much to distribute the hormone evenly. Look at uncle bens topping technique in advaned cultivation to see pics of what im talking about.

fill your cup to the top too It will grow roots out of the whole stem that gets burried.

you can eather go with CFLs for a 3 feet by 2 feet closet , and if you do CFLs do 2 CFLs for each plant , or you can use Florecent lights , i use a Gro-Lux Wide Spectrum 20w i bought for about 10 bucks at the hardware store , you could get 2 or 3 of those and put it in there

if you use CFLs make sure they are all 2 inches away from the top of your plant at all times so your plants dont stretch , and if you use tubes , do the same thing , keep the light 2 inches away from the top of your plants , but since you are growing plants at different sizes i would use CFLs so you can adjust the lights at the right size of each plant
