I need help

im useing a 36" x 20" x 62 grow tent from amazon and i got a 400 watt hps light i got from htg supply
but i dont really got no vantalion cause im growing in a apt in my bed room
so can i use a air cooling tower to cool down the heat?


and ideas from the pros or ne help at all with do thanks

you will need an extractor fan for a 400w in that space.

and the tent has 4 inch duct holes

they make hoods that are especially vented for air cooling in situations like yours, unless that air cooling tower is has a/c in it, it will be useless to you. You have to find a way to suck the hot air outta your tent, or if you can just keep the door open until you find a way to get you venting straight. you should get a small inline fan and attach it to the 4" vent hole so that it will suck out the hot air if you don't wanna get a hole new hood.

also keep your ballast outside the tent, that will reduce alot of heat

i really depends where you are.
i am in th U.K. and use hydro stores from here.
i have a 5" ruck fan in a 3ft square grow room 7ft tall with a 400w hps.
and i just use oscillating fans for air circulation and opening the room now and then to provide a fresh intake of air.
you only need an intake fan for sealed rooms otherwise you only need an extractor fan.

co2 is known to bring temps down a little too...and if your worried about smell put a filer on the other end of the inline fan, carbon filters work best.

So juss get a inline fan and duct the hot air our ?
An and the online face goes inside or out side the tent ?

And what soil is best ?
And wen should I start to fed my plants

yup, suck the hot air out with the fan and make sure you have a fan going in the tent gently blowing on the plants. I myself use pro-mix, it only has micro nutes in it and very small amounts. This way when you feed them you will know exactly how much and what they are getting. You can start feeding a couple days after they pop up. But use about a half the recom strength feeding for about the first 2-3 waterings.

This is my 1st grow so can you explain that better and were can I find that soil?


How about fox farm soils?
And can I use the 400 watt hps for seedling ?

Fox farm products are Awsome, I have been using fox farm grow big for years, thats the only veg food I ever use, WORKS GREAT. And yes you can use a 400 watt hps for seedlings but remember to keep the light at least a 12 inches from the top of you plants. Put your hand right about the top of your plants and feel the heat with the top of your hand, if it seems a little to intense the your light if probably to close. Once your babies gain some girth and become a little older then you can move your lights closer. I would try pro-mix if I was you, doesn't have any food in it so when you do feed your girls you know exactly how much your giving them. Use half strength for the first 2-3 waterings. The only reason I don't recom soil with food in it is that sometimes it is hard to tell when the food runs outta that type of soil and when to actually start feeding them with food in you water.
