I have $300.00 to buy lights looking for quantum boards anyone have any suggestions on what models and what wattage i need for 6 plants? Please feel free to leave websites where i can purchase some thanks!
I don't want to start an LED vs HID argument but if you only have a budget of $300 and you're going to be growing 6 plants then HID is probably your best option. For $300 you can get a complete 1000 watt setup.I have $300.00 to buy lights looking for quantum boards anyone have any suggestions on what models and what wattage i need for 6 plants? I tend to agree with this. How large of a space will you be growing those six plants in @RookieGrow3r420 ?I don't want to start an LED vs HID argument but if you only have a budget of $300 and you're going to be growing 6 plants then HID is probably your best option. But if you are set on LED's then I'm sure others will provide you with those options.
Good luck

My clost is about 3.5 ft wide, 8ft long and 12ft highI tend to agree with this. How large of a space will you be growing those six plants in @RookieGrow3r420 ?
that area may suit 3x 250w hps that the 600w traditionally usedMy clost is about 3.5 ft wide, 8ft long and 12ft high
Do you have any suggestions or websites on where i can purchase thosethat area may suit 3x 250w hps that the 600w traditionally used
given the narrow space
Do you have any suggestions or websites on where i can purchase those
I live in an apartment so i cannot modify any holes in the wall for venting. But i can add fans or even purchase a grow tent in the future that has a vent holeThey are a bit excessive and would better suit 4x4 space per light minimum, may even light a 5x5 with one of those.
You can get 2x vivosun 315cmh though and light 3x7ft space. Which would be plenty for 6 plants.
Again though, can you vent the heat with a proper extractor fan and keep that closet cool?
That's rule number one on any grow! All lights create heat.. ALL LIGHTS!
CMH is a great light and good bang for your buck though.
OK. Fans that circulate air do not cool. What you need is to be able to extract the heat out of the closet. If you get a tent in the closet then you will be getting heat out of the tent and it will recirculate back from the closet into the tent and cause perpetual heating until you fry your plants.I live in an apartment so i cannot modify any holes in the wall for venting. Sounds viable man!I can maybe remove the closet door and replace it with a wooden sheet and cut a hole in that sheet and use the vebt tools on that hole u know what im saying? Thanks for giving me ideas and suggestions i hughly appreciate it
250 watt HIDs are incredibly inefficient. 315s would serve that area a lot better.Do you have any suggestions or websites on where i can purchase those
This is what my neighbor used for her space. Worked ok, but her QB fixture has changed her game.that area may suit 3x 250w hps that the 600w traditionally used

This is a non-starter for a grow space. Ventilation is non-negotiable. You MUST have air exchange or you'll have an oven in there.I live in an apartment so i cannot modify any holes in the wall for venting. But i can add fans or even purchase a grow tent in the future that has a vent hole
