First can you start plants in side... then when they get about 6-10 inches tall plant them outside? second I live where the soil has alot of clay in it so i was thinking if i dig down about 2 ft. and fill in with about 50% potting soil and 50% top soil will that be ok? (Just and idea someone told me) please give me some imput on what you think. i am kind of new to the growing bit but help is always needed. Thanks :weed:

Sounds like your on the right track its always best to start growing inside and transplant stronger plants. There are alot of good guides in the outdoor section.

Your thinkin right, just be sure that nite time temps dont fall below 60 or so. I personally like to keep em inside untill there about a foot or so. when you do transplant, keep with the 2X2foot hole but make sure you back fill over your plant about 3-4 inches. This will stimulate rapid root growth and stengthen the stalks too. good luck
