i need some problem solving

i need a new harvest bad. only issue is im just getting ready to feed veg nutes for the 1st time! (so im early in the veg cycle).

I only have a few zips from my last harvest.

im growing in 5 gal pots. 6 plants between 1200 watts of hps light. all strains are different (some sativa dom's...indicas and hybrids etc).

I want to yield the coveted elbow this time.

How long of a veg (in terms of time or plant size) should I do to have a chance at an lb harvest while not running out of bud before then?

i fear the practical answer will be 6 wks but curious to see ifs thats exactly true.

the strains im growing (if anyone is curious) are:
Sensi Star (paradise)
Strawberry Cough (dp)
King's Kush (ghs)
Critical+ (dinafem)
Acapulco Gold (BF)
Skunk #1 (seedsman)


also im thinking of a grow journal. anyone interested?

i'd follow the skunk#1 from seedsman, one of those cheap seeds that seems to be pretty good(from other experiences)
i was watching a grow of seedsman mixed skunk, but as happens, the last updates never happened

i only got it because its supposed to be the true original skunk #1...

i may throw a journal up then. im not too far along...just germination and 1 wk or so in 18/6

that's what i've seen too, seedsman has pretty good old time skunk

btw i did have some seedsman white widow. I and all my friends agree its a 1 hitter quitter when grown right (mine came out excellent with LOADS of trichs)

12 plants 2.5 week veg period on 18 / 6 plant height should be around 16 - 18 " high then flip to flower once you flip to flower lower your lights as to stop the stretch period in flower should get close to 1 lb or lil more ) buds will be denser and bigger alowing buds to join together i always lower lights this giving me 9 to 12" long bud all joined up
i found leaving lights at normal height that is 18 " or so from tops when flowering you dont get them all joined up and when trim time comes you need to break up the bud cause you see a big as stem ) my thought tho

r u using co2? 16-18 inches in 2.5 wks is a LOT. lol

im only using one of my hps lights right now (and bunching all 6 plants under it as they are pretty small still)
