I over applied NEEM OIL and my plants are all drooping

I just noticed some spider mite eggs on the bottom of a few leaves so I decided to apply some neem oil with an emulsifier and after applying, the entire plant is drooping. I then realized that I mixed a concentrate strong enough for 1 gallon of mix and I only mixed it up with 1 quart....

15ML neem + 15ML emulsifier to 1 quart = no good.

Should I just do a straight water spray down to get this crap off my leaves or are my plants gonna be a gonner?

I just answered my own question. I've clogged the stomata and my plants are basically suffocating...Fuck myself. Since water and oil don't mix I guess it's a situation where I just have to ride it out and see if I'm ripping up what were 4 beautiful plants. Bummer

Sorry to hear that brother happened to me once my partner made a neem mix and me dumbass added to the neem mix so it got double the amount and it really messed those plants up, they do eventually rebound but it took a really long time. good luck man

Sorry man- Curious, what's in your soil for pest control agents? Did you start with Neem Meal, crab shell, etc?

They're about 5 weeks old and this is the first pesticide application I've applied. Lesson learned man...always always double check your measurements. I checked them again recently and I think my healthy 3 will survive but my 1 lanky straggler may have to get cut loose. Time will tell...

Maybe start the soil with some items like I mentioned . They'll get to eating larvae, etc before you plant. Treat early and they're much less likely to ever show up.

can't you dish soap them a little to get rid of the oil???
I was thinking the same as it may be critical to remove some of the oil residues in order to allow the leaves to function , if the stomata is suffocated it can bring an impending death that will be noticed by wilting and darkening of the tissue ... Sometimes this happens to the last plant sprayed if the solution was allowed to separate , the remaining oil gets sprayed last and the leaves hit usually choke out very fast .....Best of luck there with both issues .. Spider Mites can be controlled , its simple .. Kill them and all of the hatchlings and maintain a clean stock and you ll most likely never see them again .....Peace .......PotSnob
