the toke 'n talk from 2008.

I hardly find myself on RIU anymore since all the threads turn into bullshit arguments, there are trolls all over the place.

I used to come in here and LEARN all kinds of things, there were great threads where all kinds of questions were answered, and touchy subjects were handled maturely.

I learned a ton about how to pick out good buds, good glass, and so much more about marijuana culture, etiquette, and life lessons.

Now the forum seems to be full of mindless drivel, and I rarely log in, let alone post. I used to read almost every thread in this forum, now I skim over all the titles. I miss what RIU used to be.

i havent been here that long but i too must say lately it seems all i see is fighting and arguments and personal attacks in 1/2 the threads i read. ive started just blocking it all out as much as possible and help where i can(and report the worst posts i see), some of the people just dont understand what "no personal attacks" means even after you try to inform them multiple times and that fighting and that doesnt help anyone and we should all treat each other with respect and act like adults. treat others how you would like to be treated doesnt mean anything to some people, im gonna blame the public schools for dropping the ball on this one. lol

I know a lot of the old timers say they got tired of a certain mod "Abusing his power" and created another forum. I hung out there for a couple days but it got old because all they really talked about was that particular mod.

good to see some old timers here in this thread. i know, i used to visit that site but there was always like 2 people on there when it first started. and talk about mods abusing their powers. you should have seen the founder of that site when he was a mod here. he would call people names and would ban people for personal reasons all the time. he was a pretty big dick to a lot of people on here but for the most part i dont think he ever disrespected me too much. also peacemane you are hurtin dudes with that avvy lmao. u still in tenn??

i think you are talking of the first one.... you are the only other person in this thread besides me that knows what/who you are talking about... SKB i presume;-)??.... this is more recent, about jan-feb if i remember correctly???

I so agree with this post. I miss a lot of the people who are gone, whether it be because they were banned, or left, or simply faded away.

I miss the old RIU :cry:

But i stilll see some people from 08 still here....
Whatup peace and koosh... were still here ....
I always end up leavinfg rui .... because i got mucho shit going on...(at least sometimes)
And im sure those people who left had better shit to do then just type on riu all day....
The best people always leave and move on too better things....
Tooo bad im a fuckin pothead and im so baked that im stuck on the couch alll day eating junk food...lol
I really need to get out more....
But 4 real i always come back to share my grows..... Cheez grow #3.....under construction.....

i did master and then bubba was the first success....
Now im growin la confidential, kandy kush, king's kush, and killer skunk...(and a couple bagseeds... strawberry cough)
which are all og hybrids.... besides the skunk and straw.....
OG has taken over in la...
We have over 500 clubs that sell...
there are about 30 clubs in a five mile radius of my pad....

The louis the 13th is the top dawg right now.....
but there are too many to mention.....
