i ordered my first inline fan+carbon filter BUT... the fan has 206 CFM and the carbon filter has 310 cfm... I don't know what CFM's are and don't know if this might be a problem ?

6" Duct Blower Centrifugal Inline Exhaust Fan 206 CFM,GYO2401
6" Hydroponic Carbon Air Filter 310 CFM Air Scrubber

thanks guys !
The fact that you ordered those without knowing what abbreviations or what you're dealing with is ridiculous. As long as the fan isn't rated over the filter then you're fine.

Edit: It won't cause a problem, however expect for that filter to slow the fans cfm down to about half. This could create a problem if you're using this to keep temps down

I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with asking questions (if you were being sarcastic). If i thought there was I wouldn't have answered your questions. But, you should do way more research before spending your money on something people tell you is essential. Comprende?

the cfm of the filter is the maximum amount of airflow it can handle and properly filter. The cfm of the fan is how much air it can move, as long as the fans number is equal or lower to the filter ur fine

Buy a Matched Kit..less hassle
NO. It's less hassle for those incompetent of sorts. If it is your first grow piece together your room so that you will have knowledge on the matter. I'm just completing my first and have learned more than I had ever expected. Plus, you will save a lot of money by piecing together what you like/want.

You seem to get it and then you ask the same question again. Your filter can handle the airflow that your fan is creating. If You were to use a fan rated at a higher cfm than your filter then your filter would be slowing down the airflow. DO SOME RESEARCH before you buy something for crissakes! Ideally the cfm ratings should be similar. These ratings are a little low for 6inch, but should do the trick for a 4x6x4 room.

Easy, man. We're here to help not bash you.
tent is 4x4x6'5 and its mostly for smellproof
In a perfect world a 4x4x6'5 would need at least a 104 cfm fan. Considering this, your fan will be ideal for your setup. Just don't forget to go ahead and order some extra carbon so you can replace it when it goes bad.
