I think I made a mistake with lights...

I just purchased a fluorescent light and ballast for it. I was in a hurry and was looking at a 24" light and it said it put out 1600 lumens at 2700K, perfect for what I need. While I was looking for a ballast a buddy of mine was just like, get the 15" ballast and light. So I grabbed those and left. The color of the light is still 2700K, but now I realize that it only puts out around 410 lumens. Will this work?? Thanks.

you dont need a ballast for a fleuro. someone told you some dum crap. yes, that 2700k is fine, but whats with the ballast?

on floro tubes theres a ballast in the fixture you put them in... cfls have ballasts too just built into the base of the bulb...

if you plant on having one 24 in floro in the first place, you need to do some reading, that wouldn't grow you anything (and the smaller one really won't)

go with cfls, or 4ft shoplight floro tubes... if your set on flourescents...

I wasn't planning on just that one, I was going to put it in the corner of the box. I am using cfls, but saw this and thought it might help. Oh yeah, got mixed up with the ballast and everything, sorry.
