I’m in Week 8 now and some of my plants are throwing white pistils on top. If I’m not mistaken, I think I may have some foxtails popping up on top too.
I had them under a 1000 watt DE HPS turned up to 825 watts at 30” away from canopy. I’m also supplementing my light with a Mars Hydro TSW2000 light for full spectrum to fill in where the HPS can’t reach.
I think that the HPS light may have been a bit too intense bringing temps up to about 81 degrees late in week 5 and through week 6. Since then I’ve dialed the HPS back to 600w, dropped my LED light to 25%, and dropped temps to about 73-75 degrees with RH at 45-52%. I’ve also cut my nutrients to 30% using GH Flora Series, bud candy, and cal/mag. They’re getting N but, not a ton. I’m growing in coco with 5 gal cloth pots.
I have two strains, White Rhino and Diesel. They’re an 8-9 week bloom according to what I’ve read on various forums, but seems like they’re not turning as quickly as I would expect.
Aside from dialing down light/temps is there anything I can do to stop these lumpy tails and get these pistils to kick over to orange?
AND/OR
Should I just continue to just let them go until the Trichs are milky and the pistils are orange no matter low long?
This is second grow I’ve ever done and I’m still learning timing and the process. Any advice is appreciated. (First close-up pic is diesel and the other close-ups are Rhino).
