I'm so sorry this happened to you. I noticed you're from Texas and were the victim of those boys having lots of prior experience with hateful, bigoted white people and lumped you in with their experience. When I lived in Texas, I was appalled at how some white people treated those less likely to get skin cancer in that god-forsaken place. (I was in Mineral Wells). They ASS-umed you were like so many they had known.

Have had it happen to me (though not nearly to your horrible extent) in Mexico and Thailand where citizens had only experienced asshole tourists. Worst one was an encounter with a Thai woman about my age. Pure hatred burned in her eyes. My guess is she was raped by one (more?) US service guy during Viet Nam. I felt like she would have killed me if she could. Weird experience. So, your story resonated with me.

Be vigilant, but not judgmental. Until President Obama was elected, honestly had no idea how racist it still was. Have seen more overt racism among white people in the past 4 years than I have since the early 70's (in the South). Sad. sad. sad.

Sorry to hear this, there is probably no way to spin this in a good light but all blacks are not like this; sadly black teens nowadays feel they are getting back at whitey for slavery although given the chance most black youth will not even read about slavery.

Yea it's fucked up but that's the mindset of a lot of inner city black people,that's not racism either that's a fact.They really are fucking animals lol,growing up I learned they'll never respect you until you put a bunch of them and there friends,cousins,etc in the hospital.

I just realized how cheap this shit was. Not only did they sneak up and hit me when I was not looking at them while jamming my music, and than ran, I think they had rolls of quarters in there right hands. Cause only one side of my face suffered terrible damage (3 broken bones), the other side of my face that they hit too received no damage. Fucking pussies.

Please don't let what happened change your views on black people. I once accidentally gave a black guy 40 dollars in change when I was working the register because I thought he gave me a 50 when he really did give me a 10, and he immediately told me my mistake. I will admit some hold a grudge about the past but society is changing for the better everyday.

Come to canada, usually only have to deal with some drunked up, hairspray drinkin', listerine lovin' indians here. They love hate crime too, and its the same here, its not hate crime if your white, apparently.
