Then they'll be as finished as they can be for 8 weeks but not done. Way too many white pistols showing yet.

Hairs dont get you high. You know this. Amber trichs mean degradation into cbd/cnb correct? I'm not looking for couch lock.

Personally I would chop in 10 days but if your persistent on chopping then none of us are going to change your mind. Buds look good, very dense. Where are you looking through the microscope? fan leafs? top? or all over? I would check various spots on the plant and see if the ratio doesnt change, if it all looks relatively the same then chop. Only thing I hate more then a bad cure is immature bud... I dont feel like i get any sort of high off immature bud

I agree with the others.......not quite finished yet. I'm thinking at least 7-14 more days, BUT choosing when to harvest is a personal choice. The best way to tell if the bud is done is to snip off a small nug, dry it and see if you like the buzz.

BTW, very nice looking plants my friend!

Thanks a lot man, been working hard. I cut a small nugget off and dried it, smoked it, got wrecked. This is the reason why im kind of being combative about the whole 10 more days thing. If it fucked me up 5 days ago i cant even imagine now???

I looked all over my plants(3 of em) on various bud sites high and low, couple amber, couple clear, 90% cloudy.

why are you asking for advice than getting pissed when everyone says that they're not ready yet?? jesu...

are you looking at the trics when the lights are on?? if so, you're more than likely seeing the yellow from the lights and not the trics actually being cloudy or amber or w/e...

chopping even just a week early is going to kill the potency of the finished product.. why put in all this work only to short change yourself in the end by being impatient now??
i don't think it makes that much of a difference in what type of high you will get depending on when you harvest.. an indica will always give you a couch lock stone and a sativa will always give you a clear headed soaring high..
and no, hairs don't get you high, but they're a very good indicator of the buds being close to finished or not...

Lights off. Not pissed, more confused about the " hairs " harvesting technique. Why look at hairs when im looking at the trichs lol.

I'm prolly going to go with the majority and wait until 8 weeks, which would be friday. It's going to be a pain in the ass doing this solo. I'll post some pics for you guys b4 i chop to see what people think then.

imo, i don't simply look at just the trics.. i know people preach that shit like the gospel, but there is way more to knowing when to harvest a mj plant than looking at the trics..
for ex, the pistils will all recede back into the bud when it gets closer, secondly all of the calyxes will swell. and lastly, the buds will almost take on an amber'ish color when the buds are really ready to come down.. the whole color of the buds will change when they are ready to come down and the whole plant will simply scream ripe, and your's just isn't there yet..

no biggy, they look great.. just need a bit more time... and fyi, when you say a 7 / 8 week flowering strain, breeders tend to lie out of their assholes when they state flowering times cuz i guess they think people would be more attracted to shorter flowering strains than those that go longer.. ime, i've yet to grow a plant that is ready in 8 weeks.. i'm growing c99 now, which is said to be ready in 50 days, we shall see in a couple of weeks..

looks done to me....i have a preference for clear and cloudy...its a better buzz than amber and also stores better and longer.......

You have some good looking buds, but not ready yet. There are a few strains to harvest with white pistols like that and WW is not one of them. You still have some good weight coming. Just keep an eye on the Trichs...I don't think you'll see a ton of them go amber in a week+. If you want an "up" strain WW was probably not the way to go in the first place.

Don't get me wrong, I hate ambers and probably pull a little earlier than most as well.
This is an ak47 i pulled at 8.5 weeks last week. Notice the difference in the bud appearance though?

smokeable, but not totally finished. do w/e you want.
