i have four little guys that r 3 weeks into veg.i am running a 600w in 1.2x1.2x2.0 tent.they were cloned in rockwool and then placed in hydroton.i have my recerculating system always running except for sleep.light is set for 18/6.
My problem is that they are very light green and yellow and white in some places why is this and how do i fix it.

thanks,u think it would be ok to double my nutes
cause imeant they r really light in color, the only leaves that r dark green r the ones that were on the clones, the new tips r white

if they are white, like more than a nitrogen def it may be iron, whats the exact PH and PPM numbers? depending on the size of the plant should be anywhere from 400-600ppm max

what do you mean always on except when they sleep? is hydroton the only medium(aside from the rockwool cubes). are the roots out of the rockwool cubes? hydroton dries out pretty fast even in dark periods. try not having your system turn off during dark periods

Im sorry if im doing this post all wrong... but im new.

Im freakin out bcuz I feel like my plants are dying.... Their leaves are curling and crispy yellow looking at the tops. I moved the lights farther away bcuz i thought i might have cooked them. also, my bf changes the water every week. Is that too much? maybe we nute burned them? I'll have a picture.... once i figure out how to post them
ps Hydro

aussiejay - If it were me I would get my PH to 5.8 and make sure whatever I measured the PH with was giving me a correct reading, then I would get my ppm up to 700 to start and see how they respond, you may need to go even to 900 but I would think you would be getting close to nute burn level at that point.
shadia - start your own thread and stop hijacking other's, do that first but you probably still won't get much of a response without more details of your setup and some pictures of the problems.

I've certainly been there many times myself and in time you will learn. I think that the plants can be saved, but the outcome will not yield the desired results. That looks like a classic N deficiency by the yellowing of the lower leaves. I would try to restore it, as part of your learning experience - but that's all I'm afraid.

how can i get more N without over feeding with the nutes?
And by the way they havnt had much change, there is still new growth but i cant seem to get them to come green,

once they go brown they will never go back to green. try googling 'lucas formula' its about as failproof with hydro as you can get.

im using canna veg and rhizotonic thought it would be enough.how do i make sure i dont over nute them
I've been doing a test run with aqua Flores and the problem with this stuff is the ph buffers are not that great. the ph drops from 5.9 to 5.3 in 6 hours after either a nute change or an adjustment. I have a recirculating nft. I constantly monitor it and my plants are still a little yellow. so if your only checking your ph once a day or more than your screwing yourself with this product. I decided on a test run with this against botanicare power flower. thankfully I didn't buy a bunch of this canna stuff as I've seen enough. botanicare keeps a real stable ph and I would recommend this if your using a recirculating system. remember try differnt nutrients and don't always go for the fancy labels! that last statement was a big fuck you to advanced nutrients. what a joke that shit was. sorry for the rant, hope the info helps

how close is the light, did you root them before adding nutrients?
or are those from seed?

man... pH should be 5.5-6.5 throughout ppm for growth should be around 1,000ppm or ec 1.8-2.2 and you need more something with higher N for veg than bloom and preferably its like veg NpK bloom nPK if that makes sense. hopefully you aren't regularly adding nutrients?

Since they are already ruined,
pull them out and look at the roots.

If the roots are brown and slimey
you have root rot.
