I thought all Washington green cards were good for one year?

Got my card renewed last Saturday and the doctor said the cards are either good for 3 months, 6 months or a year. Did I hear her right?...she approved mine for a year but is this something new? My past cards were always a full year.

ive never hered of any less than a year theres a Dr here in town that does a life time card
