The only way to accomplish that in your world is to get fake ID. Which would hardly make voter ID a reasonable safeguard. Sorry, but voter ID has but one purpose - to disenfranchize voters - something you seem to support.
Voter ID doesn't "disenfranchise" a damn thing. What it does do is take away one more liberty by allowing the government to own us, which affects EVERYONE!

How exactly does requiring Id in order to vote have the federal government "own" us?

i'm not a rebup or a dem, i like to think i am an independent. being which i have opinions that will fall on both sides of the parties. now saying that i think voter id's are a great idea and they should have your picture.

i also think the voter cards should be just that and nothing more, it should not be tied to drivers lic. or any other thing, they should be free and any state that wants to change over to this then they should have to publish the law a full year in advance.

the pa law sounded like it was poorly set up. i know some wont agree with me but so long as the cards are free so we are not paying to vote i have no problem with it.

Agreed........

Poorly set up, poorly executed and totally uncalled for.

Just like the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Maybe it was because the Republicans were in charge of all 3 items mentioned??

Let's not forget the terrorist attacks of Sept 11, too.

I'm pretty sure Republicans were in charge then, also.
