Both Canada and the USA spend way too much money overseas and now in space. I like to know what good rovers up on Mars does me ? Sure I get to see some pretty pictures of Mars but like I rather have a better life here on Earth. I have native roots half o my aunts and uncles have cards believe me i hear all about it lol.

I truly believe that the whole space race thing is nothing more than a giant pissing contest. The scientific gains are a tiny fraction of the costs yet every nation wants to be the first. What exactly has been gained by the multiple attempts and supposed landings on the moon? The only thing i think it did was make a couple old guys famous and give a president bragin rights.

If it were up to me i think they should forget about space. Bring every soldier home.stop the "free trade" were we can buy chinese but they cant buy north american.
Fix our own problems and if the economy turns around then you think about helping someone else.
If you fall out of a boat and start drowning the dumbest thing you could do is also try to help someone thats never seen water.

Australian definition of a Canadian...

Once in a while someone does a nice job of describing a Canadian, this time it was an Australian dentist.

You probably missed it in the local news, but there was a report that someone in Pakistan had advertised in a newspaper an offer of a reward to anyone who killed a Canadian - any Canadian.

An Australian dentist wrote the following editorial to help define what a Canadian is, so they would know one when they found one.

So the following is an Australian Definition of a Canadian. In case anyone asks you who a Canadian is ??

A Canadian can be English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek.

A Canadian can be Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, Arab, Pakistani or Afghan.

A Canadian may also be a Cree, Metis, Mohawk, Blackfoot, Sioux, or one of the many other tribes known as native Canadians.

A Canadian's religious beliefs range from Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu or none. In fact, there are more Muslims in Canada than in Afghanistan.

The key difference is that in Canada they are free to worship as each of them chooses. Whether they have a religion or no religion, each Canadian ultimately answers only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

you really think they (the govt) will give anything without a fight to conquered native nations, by the way no one was original to North America it was only populated by the northern ice bridge way way back when and some peoples made it to south America way way back then too.

As Desmond Tutu said while up at the oil sands, chuckling away "were all Africans" because if you all need a real history lesson that is where we all started.

Asia is now a new maybe, look at DNA, only Africans do not have any Neanderthal DNA, the rest of us have 1 to 2% Neanderthal DNA...in way, we are all "mutts" expect for the Africans, lol.

We are always told that we are all the same expect for skin color and now science is telling us thats not really true, we are different in more ways then we like to believe.

I really don't care what happen thousands of years ago, I do know that 300-500 years ago the Indians were here first and got pushed aside when the Europeans arrived. They had their land took from them, IMO.

As for Harper, he has to go, it was a dark day when he was elected and just like GWB he turned out even worst then expected but maybe not as bad--then again Canada politics are different from the USA, Harper is more limited on what he can change..Canada has 3 major political parties, the USA has only 2 and in many ways they are both the same. the USA doesn't have any party like the NDP, oh sure we have a few people who are for those beliefs but they have no say what goes on in Washington and what laws are made.

Canada also allows advance voting and in places like shopping malls, that un heard of in the USA, U gotta go vote on a certain day at a certain voting station--often times some local church that U would never go into if U did not have to.

when any nation/s gets conquered they normally don't get anything and have to conform to the conquering peoples. is that right ? I have seen so many at 18 that receive that big payment from the govt and they just can't handle it...... normally after 1 year their either a major alcoholic/drug addict .... destroyed all their toys (quads/trucks/home) and usually end up broke. I really don't believe anyone at that age should receive that kinda money. it normally doesn't end good. aside from that it's the too bad for you story..... I don't believe anyone has a real claim to land (bought it or not) all land should be everyones. not the reality of today though

Well first of all there was no 'conquer'. There were Treaties signed under the guise of friendship and reconciliation. Alas, it was a ruse to lead the Native Peoples to believe one thing then be brutality subjected to what has been identified as genocide. In all of the Americas.
