I wanna get out of VA, what is the most lax state/best state to grow pot?

Aside from california/arizona/nevada/idaho/utah/washington. I don't want to live in that region of america at all.

My plan is to move to a pot friendly state, and to set up a full operation. I'll have about $6000 to work with (after moving costs), and this will happen in the next four months. I'll only be staying there for two years for the money, then moving back to VA once its done. I have no medical issues that i could get a license with, but so long as the laws aren't as strict i have no problems with growing 300+ plants. In va, ours pot laws are ridiculous, that would put me in jail for life.

So basically, im looking for good pot friendly states that arent on the west coast to move to? +lower rent would be sick

My buddy went up to Flint Michigan and came back a pretty happy camper. 100 bucks to sign up for a card, 25 to renew it. I think you can have 12 flowering plants there too. If you got cash what about Hawaii? My cousin lives there but he says its very expensive to live there. I think they got Med MJ.

MI laws are still pretty vague, but there hasn't been alot of pressure on home grows. Bigger warehouses have been getting into trouble though. Real estate is cheap there in MI, but you have to choose your city well. The strictness of enforcement varies greatly by city. Flint is one of the most dangerous cities in Michigan though, if you keep to yourself, probably will get no legal attention whatsoever. On a side note, if you are getting robbed or something, probably little to no legal attention also :/. Getting a card is no problem, the card fee is 100, and probably about another 100 to the clinic that will diagnose you with something to get the card. If you search Craigslist there are tons of them, just pick one in a good part of town. They won't require any medical documentation, they know why you are there, and will interview you just to cover their own ass. Just answer the questions in the way you know they want you too. Also research what medical conditions are covered under MI law before going in, there is actually only a small handful. If you want to stay legal however you'll also need to sign up patients. You can only grow 12 plants per patient including yourself if you want to keep legal numbers. I forgot what the number was, but I beleive 6 is the max on patients per person, which would be 72 plants, however you could probably partner up with people if you wanted to get into the bigger numbers. I know people who do it, but a commercial grow is not really practical there, too many ways to get shut down. Any kind of commercial/industrial property would run the risk of suprise fire marshall inspections and such. I beleive they are required annually in most places. Residential is the way to go probably. The laws are super vague, and short, so researching everything thats documented would only take a couple minutes.

Question: What medical conditions are eligible?
Answer: Patients must suffer from a debilitating medical condition, defined as:
(a) cancer, glaucoma, or positive status for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), hepatitis C, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Crohn's disease, agitation of Alzheimer's disease, or nail patella.
(b) a chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or its treatment that produces one of more of the following:
(i) cachexia or wasting syndrome;
(ii) severe and chronic pain;
(iii) severe nausea;
(iv) seizures, including but not limited to those caused by epilepsy; or
(v) severe or persistent muscle spasms, including but not limited to, those which are characteristic of multiple sclerosis; or
(c) any other medical condition or treatment for a medical condition adopted by the department by rule. (NOTE: To date, the department has not added to the list by administrative rule.)

Sometimes "The devil you know (VA) is safer than angel you don't know (other states)." "no problems with growing 300+ plants" will be a MAJOR issue if you get caught in any pot friendly state. Do not forget the FEDs also. I, personally, know someone ( 31 year old male, college educated, was unemployed) in a pot friendly state that got caught with 100 plants. He got 1 year, good sized fine, his house was condemned for 3 months, lost his career field and is now living at home with mom and dad. He deeply, deeply regrets his decision.

In the end do what you will. I just hate to see people take that big a risk for MJ.
